Claudia Grassl

Claudia Grassl (Munich) graduated from the Public Academy for Photography and Communication Design in Munich - where also Juergen Teller studied. For her graduation project, Claudia travelled to Texas and made her first USA inspired series called Young Americans in 2001. She immediately fell in love and since then lives and works between Germany and the US, drawing inspiration from both cultures.

Claudia shows an amazing engagement with the models and people around her on every shoot, she creates a naturally strong personal connection with the subjects and locations. Exactly that, combined with her eye for detail, is what makes her work so human, strong and individual.

Her photos have been published in several magazines such as Vice Magazine, Nylon, Indie Magazine, Vogue, Odiseo, Polanski, Marie Claire and she's worked for clients as Adidas, Levi's, Urban Outfitters and Universal Music.
